INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY was celebrated in JAWAHAR VIDYA MANDIR, SHYAMALI on 21.06.2018 to make the students aware of the benefits of Yoga. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Vice-Chairman School Managing committee was the Chief Guest .  The Principal, Vice Principals, students and teachers were present on the occasion.

In his welcome address the Principal Mr. Samarjit Jana said that Yoga sould be done on a regular basis. It is a systematic and methodical process to control and develop the healthy mind and body. It thus enables the students to excel in all fields.

A spectacular yoga display was presented by the students. They also delivered speeches on the history of yoga and how it benefitted the students. The Vice chairman, Principal, teachers and students performed different asanas like Pawanmuktasana , Tadasana , Makarasana , Marjari asana and Saral Dhanurasana  under the guidance of their yoga teacher Mr. Dipak Kumar Sinha. These asanas were taught to bring about holistic approach to health and well being among the students.

Speaking on the occasion , Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Vice Chairman SMC informed the students that International Yoga Day was initiated by the Indian Prime Minister to the United Nations General Assembly on 11th December 2014. Since then it is being celebrated on 21st of June every year. He further stated that the celebration of International Yoga Day is a reminder for all individuals to incorporate Yoga every day to enjoy a happy and blissful life and reduce the effect of stress and other physical ailments.

The Fresher’s Day programme was organized on 23.06.2018 for class XI session 2018-2019 by the students of class XII in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the school. Class XI students were welcomed by the students of 12th through a beautiful poem, song, dance and standup comedy.

Principal Mr. Samajit Jha welcomed  students and in his speech he stressed that learning is a continuous process. He emphasized on Emotional Quotients (EQ). He told that the key to success is hard work.

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Vice President, School Management Committee in his speech told that he feels honored to be there among the student and becoming part of the JVM family. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar said that JVM is not only known for its academic excellence but it is also best for other co-curricular activities. The students of this school have excelled at the top level in all fields like sports, engineering, as a scientist in  NASA, as a Doctor, in bureaucracy, in business, in the field of judiciary. He advised that one should recognize his/her potential and choose your career in that filed, move forward in the same area do not  get influenced by your peer group. The ability, approach, capacity   is not equal among the all student.

Van Mahotsav was celebrated on 25.07.2018

 

Van Mahotsav was celebrated in the school under the slogan “Save plants  and save environment”. The Chief Guest of the day was honourable Sri Saryu Rai,  Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs, Govt. of Jharkhand. The programme began with the plantation of saplings by the the honourable Chief Guest and the students of the Primary Section.

 

Principal Sri Samarjit Jana welcomed the Chief Guests and the other coveted guests by extending his joy on the presence of the esteemed guests. This was followed by a dance drama presented by the students to make the society aware of the importance of saving trees.

 

Sri Sanjeev Kumar, Vice Chairman, School Managing Committee in his speech highlighted on the initiative taken by Sri Saryu Rai to spread the message of saving the environment. He congratulated the students for their performance.

 

The honourable Chief Guest extended his gratefulness to the Principal and the school management for inviting him to grace the occasion. He advised the spectators to plant at least one sapling when the celebration of Van Mahotsav is in progress.

 

The vote of thanks was proposed by Sri U.S. Prasad, Vice Principal (Primary Section).

Teachers’ Day Celebration on 05.09.2018

 

The day was ordained by the presence of the Chief Guest Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, MECON and the coveted guests. The programme began with the garlanding of the portrait of Sri Sarvapalli Radhikrishanan and lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Chief Guest.

 

Honourable Principal Sri Samarjit Jana, welcomed the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries for their benign presence. He extended a heartfelt welcome to the all the members of the teaching and non-teaching fraternity of the school.

 

The students of the School Choir, presented Raag Bageshwary and enthralled the audience in their melodious voice. Ishita Roy presented an odissi dance in honour of her revered teachers. It was followed by a heart touching poem presented by Salil Tiwary in honour of his teachers which was appreciated by one and all.

 

The Chief Guest Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, MECON,  Sri Goutam Chatterjee Director  Commercial, MECON, Sri Salil Kumar, Director, Project, MECON, Sri R. H. Juneja, Director, Finance, MECON, Smt. Kamakshi Raman, Executive Director, MTI, SAIL, Sri Sanjeev Kumar, Vice Chairman, School Managing Committee felicitated the following teaching and non-teaching members of the staff on the successful completion of their 35 and 25 years of dedicated service towards the school:
